Altogic is a backend-as-a-service platform that gives developers pre-integrated authentication, data modeling, cloud functions, and hosting through a visual interface, letting teams build and deploy production-ready backends without assembling the infrastructure themselves.

Altogic was founded in 2020 by Ümit Çakmak, who brought 15+ years of consulting experience from McKinsey and Accenture, prior co-founding experience at Kunduz, and a strong academic background including an MBA from Northwestern and industrial engineering degrees from Boğaziçi. He was joined by Deniz Çolak as co-founder and Chief Community Officer, with the broader early team built around product, development, marketing, and community.

Frontend development had been transformed by no-code and low-code tooling, but backend development was still stuck between limited no-code tools and complex, hard-to-learn low-code platforms. Ümit had lived the app-development bottleneck firsthand across dozens of consulting engagements before building Altogic to solve it directly.
