Fast, embedded financing for the SMEs banks won't touch.

WHAT THEY’RE BUILDING

Figopara is a digital supply chain finance platform that lets SMEs get paid early on invoices from their large enterprise buyers, without waiting out standard 30+ day payment terms, by connecting buyers, suppliers, and a network of bank and financial institution partners on one platform.

THE FOUNDING TEAM

Figopara was founded in 2016 by Koray Gültekin Bahar and Arman Eker, who'd already worked together at Bahar's first company, Dotto. Bahar went on to build and lead Foriba, a regulation-technology company that scaled to thousands of customers across eight countries before its acquisition by Sovos in 2019, then briefly led EMEA strategy there before returning to Figopara full-time in 2020. Arman spent his early career in SAP consulting before co-founding two earlier startups, Timete and Trendbox.

WHY WE BACKED THEM

SME growth is constrained less by creditworthiness than by fragmented access to working capital. We believed embedded supply chain finance would become the next evolution of commercial banking, moving financing from a separate application process into the flow of commerce itself. Figopara's founders had already built and exited an enterprise software company together, and this time were building the infrastructure connecting SMEs, enterprises, and financial institutions on a single platform. The thesis aligned with the growing importance of supply chain finance as a way to shorten cash conversion cycles and unlock liquidity for SMEs.
