Genomize builds SEQ, a clinical SaaS platform for next-generation sequencing data analysis, taking hospitals and diagnostic centers from raw sequencing data through variant classification to a finished clinical report, with AI-assisted variant prioritization built in. The platform has processed 200,000+ samples across 300+ centers in 20+ countries.

Genomize was founded in 2014 by Ersen Kavak, a bioinformatics expert, founder, and adjunct professor at Boğaziçi University. He has spent more than a decade at the intersection of genomics, software, and clinical data interpretation, combining academic depth with hands-on company-building experience.

Genetic sequencing was getting cheaper and more common faster than the clinical infrastructure to interpret it, leaving hospitals and diagnostic labs with raw data they couldn't act on. Genomize built the missing layer between sequencer output and a clinician's decision.
