AI eyes for the moments parents and caregivers can't be there for.

WHAT THEY’RE BUILDING

Invidyo is an AI-based smart baby and child monitor that uses video and audio processing to automatically flag important moments and potential issues (distress detection, smile detection, unfamiliar faces) so parents don't have to watch a live camera feed constantly. It has since expanded into Invidyo Health, extending the same monitoring technology to caregivers of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

THE FOUNDING TEAM

Invidyo was founded by Özgür Deniz Önür, alongside co-founders Yağız Yaşarolu and Ekin Dino, at ODTÜ Teknokent in Ankara. Özgür and Yağız previously worked together as researchers at TÜBİTAK BİLTEN, Turkey's national research institute, on image and video processing for military and commercial clients; Yağız also spent two years as a design engineer at ASELSAN, Turkey's largest defense electronics company. Özgür holds a PhD from Middle East Technical University, where his research focused on 3D watermarking, and has led Invidyo's parent company, Mobilus, since 2005.

WHY WE BACKED THEM

Invidyo was ahead of the market in applying AI-based video and audio intelligence to home monitoring. The team had spent years working on image processing, video analytics, and computer vision before turning that expertise into a consumer product Özgür also understood personally as a parent. At a time when most baby monitors were still passive cameras, Invidyo offered face recognition, distress detection, and AI-based event monitoring. Strong US traction, with the majority of revenue coming from North America, made the opportunity especially compelling.
