Picus Security was founded in 2013 by H. Alper Memiş, Volkan Ertürk, and Dr. Süleyman Özarslan, bringing together company-building, security operations, and cyber research. Alper leads global expansion and operations, Volkan brings 25+ years of hands-on security expertise, and Süleyman anchors Picus Labs with deep academic work in attack simulation and security validation.

Most security teams had no real evidence their defenses worked until an actual breach proved otherwise. Picus's founders built a platform to close that gap by continuously testing controls against real attacker techniques, years before "breach and attack simulation" became a recognized category that Gartner and Frost & Sullivan now track.
