Full-stack observability and security for serverless and containerized workloads.
Thundra provided an application observability and security platform giving engineering teams end-to-end visibility, tracing, debugging, and security for serverless workloads, especially AWS Lambda, as well as container and VM-based environments, with automated instrumentation requiring no code changes.

Thundra was founded in 2017 by Serkan Özal, spinning out of a project originally developed inside OpsGenie before becoming an independent company. After its Series A, Ken Cheney joined as CEO while Serkan continued as CTO.
Serverless adoption was moving faster than the tooling required to debug, monitor, and secure it in production. Thundra came from the OpsGenie DNA, a team that already understood developer infrastructure deeply, and had early validation from Battery Ventures leading its Series A, with Neeraj Agrawal joining the board.
